João Vitor (JV) Corrêa is a Brazilian-Canadian writer, producer, and archives specialist whose work spans documentary, television, and scripted storytelling. He has worked numerous award-winning international documentary films that have garnered Emmy, Peabody, Gotham and CSA Awards. His credits include projects for CBC, Crave, Netflix, Hulu/Disney+, Amazon Prime, MGM+, VICE Media, Knowledge Network, the NFB and others. A multiple Canadian Screen Award nominee and FOCAL Award recipient with True North (TIFF’25), João is currently developing a premium limited scripted series with Pink Buffalo Films. His work explores, identity, memory and the human experience through character-driven, informed storytelling.
