Based in Amiskwaciwâskahikan (Edmonton) on Treaty 6 territory, Rhia Aden is a filmmaker, programmer, and screen sector leader committed to amplifying Muslim and other underrepresented voices in film. As Executive Director of the Mosquers Film Festival, she champions Muslim and BIPOC storytelling while creating opportunities for emerging creatives. Previously, she managed talent development at the British Film Institute. Rhia also advises the Canadian Independent Screen Fund's Audience Development Program and recently completed her debut narrative short film, The Eldest Daughter.
