The Writers Guild of Canada (WGC) represents more than 2,500 professional English-language screenwriters across Canada. Our members create stories that entertain and inspire audiences on every screen. The WGC negotiates and administers industry-leading collective agreements, advocates for Canadian screenwriters on public policy, educates through research and professional development programs, and hosts events and initiatives that promote and celebrate our member screenwriting community. Working together with industry partners, we aim to build a vibrant and inclusive Canadian production industry.
